Target Audience
My target audience is ABC1 16-25 year olds interested in political change and social justice. The protagonist will be in this category and as a result it will mean the audience can relate to the video. The storyline of the video will also maintain interest

Location
At the moment I am considering using 3 locations: the beach, the woods and a room within a house i.e. a living room. I have also thought about using a tube station for the establishing shot as the non-diegetic sound will be powerful enough to get my video up to the 3:00 minute mark as the brief requires. The mood of the video will change according to the location and there will be one location that represents the present day whilst the others are reflective.

Equipment
The VHS style videos will be achieved through an app called 'VHS Cam' which is an easy way to achieve this look and will allow me to diversify my video through the different filming equipment. I will also use a DSLR for the majority of my video and can change lenses if necessary. The main one will be 35mm. The camera will be mounted on a tripod in order to create a stationary shot when applicable. For moving shots, my hands will steady it as much as possible. I may also use a GoPro if it is essential for it will once again bring diversity to my camerawork or I can use my iPhone which has a good cameras it is. Also, costumes will need to be sourced, however they will be significant to the character's age and normal clothes as a result.

I am planning on shooting the video myself and will use my friends and family to help me with the equipment in order to help maintain angles allowing for smooth and seamless transitions.

Effects
I would like to colour grade my video after filming and add filters to them in order for my video to remain typical of the pop genre whilst allow for messages to be suggested through the heavy connotations colour has. Adding handwritten lyrics is something else I aim to do in order to make my video more creative and unique in comparison to others. This will be by intertextuality from 'Ocean Drive' which is the perfect pop song and epitomises summer proving these techniques effective. Also, VHS style videos will add another layer to my video and allow it to appear more retro. I plan to edit in time to the beat of the song to establish a sense of fluidity.
