Placement of Logo and Title

Image
Logo & Title Placement The artist's logo and the title will be placed towards the beginning of the video following the landscape shots to the diegetic sound. Most typical pop videos have it fade into view in the centre of the screen at the start of the video, before the lyrics begin. Some examples:

Story Plan

Story Plan Representation & characters: I am using two different characters, a man and then the younger version of himself he is looking retrospectively at. I will used editing and camerawork to heighten the length of time passed and the deep contemplation the man is in. As a result, I hope a sense of nostalgia will be created. This means that my two social groups addressed are old and young. 1. Establishing shots of the locations with diegetic sound of cars and blurred out lights of the skyline or birds tweeting with a panning shot over the sky of the beach. The song title and name of the artist will appear over the top of these scenes. Similar to the beginning of 'Lucky Strike' by Troye Sivan. 2. It will then shift to the old man. There will be a close-up of his face (he is half-smiling and looking content) and then there will be a mid-shot of him looking out onto the ocean. Walking shots and him doing everyday things will also be included. De...

Images of Artist

Image
Original Images The artist will be featured on my website in various ways and to create a sense of continuity and synergy between my website and video, I will add some pictures that I have edited with a background and handwritten text. I'd like it to appear professional and editorial. Silhouette shots of the artist would be effective as well as photos of the location and my cast in the location. Inspiration and shots I'd like to achieve are as below: 1. Portrait, low-angle of artist so you can see their whole outfit and the  background. 2. Location on its own, wide-angle shot. 3. Silhouette of the artist facing towards the ocean, wide-angle shot. 4. Close up of artist's face when not smiling, close-up shot. 5. A casual mid-shot of the artist interacting with the crew and a camera to show the production process. Also may be good to include a tour poster that can be hand-drawn either manually or digitally.

Treatment - Draft

Treatment Target Audience My target audience is ABC1 16-25 year olds interested in political change and social justice. The protagonist will be in this category and as a result it will mean the audience can relate to the video. The storyline of the video will also maintain interest Location At the moment I am considering using 3 locations: the beach, the woods and a room within a house i.e. a living room. I have also thought about using a tube station for the establishing shot as the non-diegetic sound will be powerful enough to get my video up to the 3:00 minute mark as the brief requires. The mood of the video will change according to the location and there will be one location that represents the present day whilst the others are reflective. Equipment The VHS style videos will be achieved through an app called 'VHS Cam' which is an easy way to achieve this look and will allow me to diversify my video through the different filming equipment. I wi...

Logo for Artist

Image
Logo for Artist I have chosen the name 'Elliot Gray' for my male artist, inspired by the likes of James Bay and Sam Smith that have seemingly simple names which makes them memorable. I want the logo to cohesively fit with my production company logo so I also used Wix Logo Maker for this process. These are options of logos to be featured in my video and on my website:
