The demographic stated in the brief is 'a fun-loving 16-25 year old mass market demographic'.

My video will attract this group of people with, firstly, the song which is distinct and pop coming from a more niche and under the radar artist. Due to this my target audience would be more urban and less mainstream, rejecting passive consumerism and so actively seeking out their own music meaning my target audience is more Leading Edge - Scenesters according to UK Tribes. The music they would listen to would be produced by smaller artists and production companies as well as music stemming from around the world with both serious and uplifting messages and a more indie sound to it whilst still being acceptable to be played on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show. They would potentially more politically aware despite the simple love message of the song and as a result of being politically active they would most likely be ABC1 as they don't need to worry about themselves as much if they have the ability to go out and protest.

The target audience will dress comfortably with a sense of style and shop at places like Bershka, Urban Outfitters and Pull & Bear. Regarding what they eat, most will eat locally sourced, organic foods to ensure the welfare of the animals and some will be vegetarians or vegans specifically for animal rights. General music they would listen to would be artists like The Hunna, The 1975, LANY and Mabel and also K-pop as they are interested in the global music scene.

The mise-en-scene will address prevalent social issues through the enquired representation of two different social groups. This will appeal to the Activist element that makes up the Leading Edge group as they are keen on making social changes and making the world a fairer place for all alongside highlighting certain issues like climate change. The costume and props will be things easily recognisable and relatable in order to attract this audience.
